On the first day of Digital Photography, I did not know almost nothing about the camera options and editing programs. When we first shot our photos for our first photo assignments. I still did not know much about the settings for shooting. I remember taking tons and tons of photos and non of the photos came out good. Throughout the class, I learned when to use each setting in the correct weather/place. Throughout the class, my photos got better better. As for Photoshop, starting in the beginning of class I didn't know anything about how to use Photoshop or Lightroom. I remember starting in Photoshop and didn't know any of the tools. Throughout the year, every time I used photoshop I got better and better and started to know more of what the tools do. In Lightroom, I caught on quickly but it took be awhile. Before I even started Digital Photography I did not know that Lightroom existed. Pictures that shows I learned how to use photoshop and use the camera settings.

For the motion blur demo, I went outside with a camera and took some pictures of Mr.Bush riding around the bus loop on his bike. Some challenges I had was the sun making the picture over exposed. Some editing I made was that I put the contrast up a ton.
For this photoshop assignment, I did multiple me. I went to the third floor and used the table as a stand because there were no tri pods left. I took 4 photos (not including the blank photo) one was of me looking into the class room, another was tying my shoe, the third was looking into the trash can and the 4th photo was looking at me looking into the trash can. The difficulties were editing the shadows. Overall, I really enjoyed this photoshop assignment.
For the last week of this photo assignment, I shot Architecture. I went outside?around my house and shot different things that had a pattern or appealed. It was hard taking the photos outside because it was very cold outside on Sunday. I learned you have to be creative and open minded when u are looking of pictures to take for Architecture. Editing- For some of my photos I put more exposure to the photo and made it darker. On my best photo, I cropped the photo and made the exposure a little bit higher. For the open tutorials assignment we got to do whatever we wanted in photoshop. For the glowing text effect, I created layers and work paths in order to make a glowing effect. I also used inner and outer glows. I then made the photo into a 3d effect. Photo #2- For the glowing effect, I created layers and created a work path to create the text into a bold effect, I then add the drop shadow to make the green circle and bolded my name with the drop shadow. Photo #3- I made the picture into black and white and used the paint brush tool to color in the picture where I wanted to. I focused painting the front three players because I thought they were the center of the photo. The subject I shot for this photo assignment was Nature and landscape. So, I went in my backyard and shot some trees and bushes that were in my backyard. I took multiple photos of each tree in different shutter speeds and apertures. For editing, I put the exposure up on some of the photos like my best photo and some I put the exposure down. For this assignment, we took panoramic photos. For three of the photos I shot inside the school and the other two I shot outside. It went pretty well taking the photos and I had no difficulties once so ever. |
